Did you know that Hayward is the sixth largest city in the Bay Area and the third largest in Alameda County? Hayward was originally known as "Hayward's", then as "Haywood", later as "Haywards", and ended up as "Hayward". There is some disagreement as to how it was named. Most historians believe it was named for a man who opened a hotel there in 1852 named William Dutton Hayward.
"All-in-all a good program. However, I would have preferred to have seen a bit more emphasis placed on merging/getting on roadways and highways. I've seen way too many people stop, when making right turns in a channel lane, or at the end of a clover leaf off-ramp, where there is absolutely no reason to stop. Course, it's worse when they stop on an on-ramp, when getting on a highway or an expressway, when they should be accelerating to merge with traffic flow. Thx."
